|The Institute for Microtechnology Mainz GmbH (IMM) is integrated into the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and as "Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology, Division IMM" (ICT-IMM) new member of the Fraunhofer Nanotechnology Alliance.|
|Fraunhofer IWM Halle becomes Fraunhofer IMWS
Starting January 1, 2016, the Halle (Saale) branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM will operate as a separate institute. The Freiburg branch will continue as the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM.
|The Dresden branch (IZFP-D) of the Fraunhofer Institute for Nondestructive Testing IZFP was initially tied to Fraunhofer IKTS as branch materials diagnostics (IKTS-MD), shortly thereafter as a new business field.|
|The Initiative "Nano in Germany" present the German nanotechnology in Shenzhen at China Hi-Tech Fair in mid November 2014

|Fraunhofer Nanotechnology Alliance is founding member of Initiative "Nano in Germany".
The initiative "Nano in Germany" provides through joint action a long term and permanent way for all actors to be visible and increases public acceptance of nanotechnology as a technology to add value and benefit of mankind. National and international companies, organizations, associations and research facilities use the Initiative "Nano in Germany" as a common staple on the market.
